About me
Emily Mizokami is an assistant archivist at the California State Railroad Museum. She recently completed a two-year internship at the Center for Sacramento History and graduated with her MLIS from San Jose State University in December 2025. She was an intern for the Library of Congress Law Library’s Creative Digital Project in 2024, as well as the LOC’s Remote Metadata Project in 2024 and 2025. She was the 2024-2025 chair of the Society of American Archivists, Students and New Archives Professionals section. Emily is published in San Jose State’s Archeota, Railroad History, and the Journal of Western Archives. She is also this year’s ARLIS Gerd Muehsam Award recipient.
